From Raw Material to Filler - Our Production Prozess

The production of Sillitin and Sillikolloid from the raw earth requires an expensive separation process. After dispersing the raw material in water, the siliceous earth will be physically separated from foreign materials and sand fractions, and separated into different grain sizes. Selected fractions will then be mixed with each other, and finally dried. Because of the natural fineness of the siliceous earth there is no need for grinding steps, which helps to preserve the unique stucture of the mineral.

Step 1 - 3:

Charging and crushing of raw earth, separation of coarse material by vibrator screens.

  

Step 7 - 10:

Densification, storage and blending of individual product types in the form of slurry.

Step 4 - 5:

Dissolving, separation of gravel fractions and dispersion in water.

  

Step 11 - 12:

Removal of water in filter presses; elimination of residual water in dryers.

Step 6:

Separation of sand fractions and classification into different grain sizes by hydrocyclones.
