Some 90 years ago, Franz Hoffmann obtained the first mining rights for Neuburg Siliceous Earth. To this day, the mineral has served as the natural base for novel products and innovative technologies. The unique morphology of Neuburg Siliceous Earth is characterized by its composition as a natural combination of corpuscular, crypto-crystalline and amorphous silica and lamellar kaolinite.

The mineral helps to markedly improve the performance properties of rubber goods, paint and coating systems, plastics, polishes and cleaning agents. Other applications include welding electrodes, adhesives, pharmaceuticals, and cosmetics.
