In August 2010, Manfred Hoffmann sr. passes away at age 87. Manfred Hoffmann jr. is now the only owner. The Company has been able to overcome surprisingly fast the economical crisis of 2008/09. This is due to the use of Neuburg Siliceous Earth in a multitude of different application areas as well as a high export share. With the introduction of SILFIT and AKTIFIT, in 2011 HOFFMANN MINERAL launches Calcined Neuburg Siliceous Earth. White colors previously unattainable in HOFFMANN MINERAL products, and new filler properties find here pronounced interest for more than half a dozen promising applications areas.
