Foundation Species Conservation and Technology
The purpose of the Foundation is to promote science, research, and education, particularly in the fields of species conservation and technology.
Its focus is on supporting research aimed at providing habitats for endangered animal and plant species using currently available technology, including prototypes. Additionally, it promotes research projects that employ new technologies to expand knowledge about species or study biodiversity in unconventional locations within populated areas.
Manfred Hoffmann, chairman of the foundation, emphasizes:
“You can feel that we need to reconnect with nature. However, we must not demonize technological advancements in the process. Technology offers great opportunities to advance species conservation. It would be a shame not to use today’s capabilities to benefit biodiversity.”
Founded with the aim of maintaining the balance between human progress and the environment, the foundation is actively involved in projects worldwide, while also promoting collaboration between science, industry, and environmental organizations.
